St. Pius X parish, in Billings, celebrated its annual “Welcome Back Weekend” in September, which began as part of the national “Welcome Back to Church Sunday” program. This year was a special bonus for the parish formally welcomed Fr. Greg Staudinger into the tradition. Parishioners are encouraged to wear their “favorite team” apparel. Fr. Greg is an antique machinery enthusiast, so he came to all events wearing his hat from the Western Minnesota Steam Thrashers Reunion where he has traveled for 37 years. The Knights of Columbus grilled enough meat to feed over 400 parishioners and dozens of volunteers of all ages pitched in both tat the Saturday picnic and the Sunday hospitably after Masses.
