St Thomas Camp 2 2St Thomas Camp 3 2

There is no doubt that we are all tired of hearing about how difficult a year this has been for us. One of the things we have all had to deal with while adjusting to the reality of COVID-19 and the way it has affected the world is the lack of social interaction and building relationships—things that are absolutely foundational for living a Christian life. For this reason, the cancellation of St. Thomas Camp 2020 was a sad occurrence. However, with the coming of a new year comes a new sense of Hope and Joy.

One of the most profound things about being Catholic is the Faith that we all share in this reality—without the Cross, there is no Resurrection. When good things are taken away from us, it offers us an opportunity to show gratitude for what we do have, and to be even more grateful when good things are returned to us. With that being said, we are planning on bringing back the St. Thomas Catholic Camp experience for the youth of our Diocese and beyond, starting in June 2021! We are so excited to restore this mission to our Diocese, and it will be better than ever. The dates are as follows:

• June 20-25–High School Week 1
• June 27-July 2–High School Week 2
• July 11-16–5th and 6th Grade Boys Week
• July 18-23–Middle School Week 1
• July 25-30–5th and 6th Grade Girls Week
• August 1-6–Middle School Week 2

Please save these dates for your children to be able to experience the Love of God through nature, the building of Christian friendship, and the Sacraments of the Church!
For those of you who do not have children or grandchildren to send to Camp this year, Catholic Summer Camp is an extremely valuable experience for the formation of our youth. As we all know, the COVID-19 crisis has caused financial harm to many families over the course of the last year, and there will certainly be some youth of our diocese who will not be able to afford to benefit from the blessing that is St. Thomas Camp. Because of this we are hoping to be able to make as many scholarships available as possible. If you are able, please consider sponsoring a camper to be able to attend this year. The cost is $350 per camper, but any amount helps. If you are able, please consider donating to the St. Thomas Camp by sending a check to:
St. Thomas Camp
C/o Diocese of Great Falls-Billings
PO Box 1399
Great Falls, MT 59403

(Be sure to put “Camp Scholarship” in the memo line)

Thank you so much for your generosity and your prayers, and we look forward to being to serve our youth in this unique way once again!
