Candidate Bob Wiesner, reverences Bishop Jeff at the beginning of the Rite of Acolyte Installation during Mass. The other five candidates standing by, have already accomplished the reverence.
Candidate Blake Jensen receives a chalice of wine as part of the rite. It symbolizes an Acolyte’s duties of distributing Eucharist during communion when serving at Mass.
The six Candidates, now Acolytes, assist Father Jay, Deacon Tom, Bishop Jeff, Father Martin, and Deacon Pete, in distributing Eucharist at Communion.
