“Let us never forget that we are links in a great chain of men and women who have transmitted the truth of the Faith and who depend on us to pass it on to others.”

—Pope emeritus Benedict XVI

March marks one of the busiest times of the year for the office of vocations. Applications and paperwork are flying in all directions as we prepare to send our seminarians to various places to be formed into good and holy priests. But we are also in the process of preparing for another endeavor that the office of vocations has taken on this year. St. Thomas Catholic Summer Camp is beginning to take shape, and we are very excited to offer it to the youth of our diocese as an opportunity to get away from the noise of daily life and experience Christ in a new and profound way.
Camp dates this year are:

  • o June 25-30: High School Week 1 (9th-12th grade)

To register your children or grandchildren for camp please visit saintthomascamp.com and click the “Register” tab.

This year will be the best year of camp to date! Nestled in the Little Belt Mountains, the camp offers an amazing opportunity for our youth to experience God in the beauty of nature, to have fun and build relationships with peers from across the state, and most importantly, to grow deeper in their understanding and love of Jesus Christ and His Church.
St. Thomas Camp is absolutely steeped in prayer. Daily Mass, regular opportunities for Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary, and other powerful devotions will be the heartbeat of everything that will take place at Camp this year.

Our young people will be offered this privileged opportunity to learn about their faith, but we can’t forget the fun they will have as well. There are countless opportunities for them to experience the outdoors by hiking, swimming, and a weekly float trip down Belt Creek. They will also be engaged in team building activities like our low ropes course and challenged by climbing our rock wall and target practice on the archery range!

St. Thomas Camp aims to be a powerful instrument for the transmission of the Faith in Eastern Montana. As people called to be Missionary Disciples in a world that is increasingly hostile to Christian values and Catholic principles, we must provide opportunities for our young people to disconnect from the distractions of the world around them so as to be able to receive the Faith that we are passing on to them in a deeply personal way. St. Thomas Camp provides just such an opportunity.

If the message of the Gospel is to be passed on to future generations, it is going to be done through our children. We need your help to make that happen.

First and foremost, we need your prayers. Every successful ministry has prayer as its foundation—offering up the reception of Holy Communion, Rosaries, and pious visits to the Blessed Sacrament are just a few things you can do for the youth of our diocese and the success of the Camp this year. But if God is calling you contribute further, please consider giving to the needs of the Camp. Funds are needed to provide for various needs to ensure that the camp runs smoothly this year and any contribution you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We are also taking donations for scholarships so that we can assist children who might not have the means to attend the camp. If you would like to make a gift to either the greatest needs of the Camp or to the scholarship fund, please fill out the coupon below and return to:
