Cow Pie Bingo A Success!
(Picture: Title: Teo the cow and calf)
Cow Pie Bingo, a fundraiser benefitting Our Lady of Lourdes, Holy Spirit and Great Falls Central, was held May 17th on the Central football field. The afternoon began with a tasty pulled pork feast. Games for children allowed parents and students from all the schools time to visit and enjoy the activities. Tickets, sold for $20 dollars each, were drawn randomly and placed a grid that matched squares on the field. Teo (pronounced Tao meaning God like) the cow and her calf, provided by ranchers Jim and Darae Larson of Belt, entered the field at approximately 5:00 pm and roamed over 1200+ yard-square spots on the field. Twelve minutes later, as families from the three schools watched, Teo deposited her “Cow Pie” on the winning squares. For the first time in this event’s history, the pie landed on a line. Two winners split the prize, taking home $5,000 each. The 2015 winners were Sarah Palagi, and Randi and Dave Phillips. Cow Pie Bingo netted over $12,600 dollars which is shared between the three schools. Thank you to all who supported Great Falls Catholic schools through this fundraiser! Tickets for next year’s event will be available in the fall of 2015.
