Annual Chrism Mass

On April 6, 2017, a large crowd gathered in St. Patrick Co-Cathedral at 6:00 p.m. for the annual celebration of the Chrism Mass. As it alternates between Great Falls and Billings, St. Patrick’s hosted the celebration this year. All priests were encouraged to attend for their renewal of priestly vows and to pray with their parishioners in attendance. Then the blessing of the Oil of Catechumens, the Oil of the Sick, and the Sacred Chrism were blessed and bottled for distribution to all of the parishes of the diocese.
