St. Pius X parish in Billings, embraced the national Welcome Back Sunday theme through its “Welcome Back Weekend” September 12 & 13 complete with Hawaiian themed hospitality following the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass, Coffee and Rolls following the Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass, and a parish picnic following the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Mass. Parishioners who have busy schedules, travel plans and vacations as well as students, faculty and staff at the area colleges were welcomed back after the long summer months. A special welcome was bestowed on Father Jay Peterson who is joining the St. Pius X community part-time as Parochial Vicar. Welcome Back Weekend is an annual event hosted by the Parish Life Commission.
On Sunday morning after the 11:00 a.m. Mass, St. Pius parishioners enjoyed a picnic to celebrate Welcome Back Weekend.
