St. Pius X Parish in Billings received its annual endowment distributions for both their Ministry Endowment and Cemetery Endowment. At this writing, they haven’t decided how the Ministry Endowment distribution will be used, but they were happy to tell us that the Cemetery Endowment distribution, more than $19,000, is being put to great use on a needed sidewalk project!

Don James, Chair of the Calvary Cemetery Board, shared, “We have many loved ones buried on the north side of the cemetery and there is no walkway, so access for family members and friends isn’t easy – especially in winter.  We will now provide a walkable surface which loops around the entire cemetery, creating easier access for all seasons.”

The project will be completed this fall. Expected expenses are up to $35,000, meaning the annual endowment distribution will cover well over half of the costs, which is a huge relief.  Parishioners have mentioned how grateful they will be for better access. And St. Pius X Parish is grateful, too, for all those who support their Cemetery Endowment and make projects like this possible.
